Meet Wheel — The Little Kitten I Found by a Car Wheel

June 26, 2026

At around 7:00 PM on June 26, a heavy rain had just passed.

As I was about to walk into my office building, I heard a tiny kitten crying from across the street.

The cries were loud, desperate, and impossible to ignore.

I followed the sound for quite a while before finally spotting a tiny kitten trembling in the narrow space beside a car wheel.

I reached in carefully and picked him up.

He was soaking wet and terrified.

There is a pizza shop downstairs from my office that leaves food and fresh water out every day for the neighborhood stray cats.

I carried the little kitten there, hoping to show him a safe place where he could always find something to eat.

He tried so hard to eat...

But every bite seemed difficult.

After only a minute, he stopped eating and quietly walked over to me, pressing himself against my legs as if I was the only thing that made him feel safe.

I picked him up again and took a closer look.

His back legs and tail were covered in mud from the rain, but the rest of his body was surprisingly clean.

His ears were spotless.

His fur was smooth and soft.

It was obvious that someone had been taking very good care of him.

I realized he probably wasn't abandoned.

He was most likely a kitten who had become separated from his mother during the storm.

I took him to a veterinary clinic first.

He was cleaned up, examined, and received basic parasite treatment.

The veterinarian estimated that he was only about two months old.

At that age, he was still too young to properly chew or digest adult cat food, and he had almost no chance of surviving on his own outdoors.

Bringing him home immediately wasn't an easy decision.

My older cat, Taka, weighs nearly 8 kilograms and is currently being treated for heart disease and asthma.

I wasn't sure how he would react to a tiny stranger suddenly appearing in his home.

So instead, the kitten came back to my office with me.

Everything was unfamiliar to him.

He was anxious, incredibly affectionate, and constantly searching for somewhere that felt safe.

His favorite hiding place became the narrow space beneath my desk.

He even stayed beside me while I filmed my bead videos.

Of course... he also occasionally caused a little chaos by knocking my bead containers over and scattering tiny beads across the floor.

After two days, I realized something.

An office could keep him safe for a short while, but it wasn't the right place for a growing kitten.

So I finally brought him home.

He spent his first three days in a separate bedroom before meeting Taka.

Thankfully, Taka turned out to be exactly the gentle cat I had always believed he was.

He wasn't thrilled about sharing his home...

But he chose kindness over conflict.

They now live together peacefully, although they still have the occasional playful argument.

It's now been more than a week since Wheel came home.

He's full of energy, endlessly curious, and seems genuinely happy.

I decided to name him Wheel, to remember the place where our story began.

Every time I call his name, I'm reminded that sometimes the smallest detours can completely change a life.

Thank you for supporting my handmade bead kits.

Every order allows me to keep creating, while also giving unexpected little lives like Wheel a safe place to grow.

I can't wait to share more of his adventures with you.
